Why Triple F, well as you can see from the logo it stood for "Flying for Fun", which is what we did.
Unfortunately the Triple F is no longer an active club.
We flew out of Jandakot Airport in Perth, Western Australia, getting together at least once a month for some flying and enjoyable company.
We participated in small trips to airstrips not far away, like Northam and Bunbury, to enjoy a barbeque lunch and then hone our circuit and landing skills.
We also participated in fly-ins farther away - to places like Collie, Geraldton and Merredin which are usually an overnight stopover.
In February 2003 Dave, Geoff and Steve flew to Avalon in Victoria in a Cessna 172N VH-WLQ for the air show, read Steve's diary of the trip in the stories section - Avalon 2003.
The story of a second trip to Avalon in 2005 by Dave, Graham and Steve is now available under Stories - "Avalon 2005". There are pictures from this trip in the Gallery under "Avalon 2005".
We flew a variety of planes such as Cessna 172 and 177RG, the Piper Warrior, Archer and Arrow, and we had access to a number of other planes.
See the in the Links for the companies we used and the aircraft they operate.
